Beautiful Dangerous Snowstorm

About 6 inches of wet snow fell quickly on Sunday evening. With the trees overloaded and crashing down on power lines, we went without power for more than 2 days. On Monday morning, I walked down our driveway to take a few photos before the snow melted.

This view at the end of the driveway is of Walker Mountain in the distance.

Looking in the other direction on our road, you can see how the trees were laden with snow.

Coming back up the driveway, the sun shone through the trees, truly a beautiful sight.

The wind picked up, blowing snow out of the trees.

The snow had mostly melted by Tuesday with temperatures climbing into the 60s Wednesday through today. But, we were hit with a thunderstorm Wednesday night and high winds today.

We thought we were well prepared with a generator but a mouse had chewed thru the wires. We only had enough water for a day too. So, now we are prepared for the next one. So, come on Mother Nature, bring it on!
